Rocketship Education Uses Goalbook to Personalize Learning for Students

Success Stories Rocketship Education

Genevieve Thomas
Director of Integrated Services Delivery, Rocketship Education
Rocketship Education has adopted Goalbook to track an individualized plan for each of their Integrated Services Delivery and Response to Intervention (RtI) students, about 30% of their total student population across 7 schools. In Goalbook, there’s now a true continuum of data between Tier 2 and Tier 3, as these students share an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) in Goalbook.
Goalbook has had a significant positive effect on efficiency for our special education department. Teachers are able to quickly and easily manage all of their case management responsibilities in one place. Our full inclusion model relies on consistent collaboration between service providers – Goalbook allows IEP team members to regularly collaborate in ways that are both meaningful and feasible.
Goalbook customized the ILP form to Rocketship’s specific needs, and the online ILP is easily accessed by the academic dean and RtI staff. The Integrated Services Delivery team also uses Goalbook to complement their IEP system and make their lives easier. The special education teachers create the “IEP 1-pagers”, track goal progress, and coordinate with their assistants and paras in Goalbook. Rocketship also utilizes the Service Delivery module to track service minutes, and the IEP Timelines module to monitor IEP deadlines in a simple manner. With compliance made easier for everyone involved, the Integrated Services Delivery team can focus on providing quality instruction to students with IEPs.
