Glendale Unified School District’s mission is to “provide a high quality education that addresses the unique potential of each student in a safe, engaging environment.” With a focused, individualized approach to instruction, Glendale’s mission is closely aligned with the philosophy behind Goalbook, where we specialize in providing support for teachers as they design instruction that meets the needs of ALL students.

Goalbook provides resources and strategies which have helped GUSD teachers address the individual needs of children, including those in special education. These resources allow teachers to help their students achieve and access content at higher depth of knowledge levels.

Using Goalbook Toolkit, teachers in GUSD have been able to develop individualized learning goals for students that include targeted strategies aligned to Universal Design for Learning. According to Dick Sheehan, Glendale Unified School District’s Superintendent, “Goalbook has provided teachers in Glendale Unified School District the ability to create Common Core aligned learning goals for students.
