Implementation Tips

Collage
The student can create a collage of pictures related to a story that the student has read. The student can find pictures independently or the teacher can present two pictures and ask students which one refers to the story.
Group Work
Assign a poster in groups. The student can take one aspect of a book and find or draw a picture to represent it.

Make a poster “book report” describing the sequence of events in a novel.
Social Studies
Create a poster describing the life of Abraham Lincoln.
Science
After reading the biography of a scientist, create a poster that includes birth date, birth place, what the scientist is famous for, a quote and include visuals.
